Our campaign is built on having conversations with voters. For six years, Democrats in our district, an overwhelming majority of voters, have wanted a new State Senator. Now they have the opportunity to vote for Blake Morris, and it's our responsibility to make sure we connect with as many of these people as humanly possible. We canvass every Monday to Friday from 5-9 p.m., and we make sure to be respectful of neighborhoods that have Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and other religions that have holidays, including each religion's weekly Sabbath observance.
Please use the form below to sign up for weekly canvassing.
Weekend canvassing is done at any time between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Our preferred shifts for you to join are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 3-7 p.m. Please sign up using this form:
Get Out the vote
When we arrive at the last week before the Democratic primary, which is on Thursday, September 13 (it was moved it back because of Rosh Hoshanah), we'll need every last one of our volunteers. GOTV mode means we'll no longer be talking to new voters, just reminding all of our supporters to go vote. Mainly, we'll need to knock on doors, because that physical, in-person reminder is the best way to get people to the polls. But we'll also be making phone calls and texting our voter base, if you're unable to knock on doors.
If you have not, and will not, volunteer with us before GOTV, please email the campaign to receive your training before this week begins. Our email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Shifts vary depending on the day, so please indicate any and all dates & times you are available to help us. As we've done throughout this campaign, we won't knock on the doors of Jewish voters during Shabbat, or Rosh Hoshanah, which leaves Sunday, Wednesday (evening), and Thursday to reach our supporters.
Please sign up for any shifts you will be able to volunteer.
